The bugfixing update 3.1.3 is released. There was a problem when the explorer folder option "Hide known file extension" was enabled. Then the selected file in encryption file-dialog could not be found and produced some error when trying to encrypt. This is solved now, so I highly recommend everybody to download the new update.

There was a error where in some circumstances the trial version was already after first installation expired and so without any possibility to test the software. This problem is solved now. All involved persons should re-download the program please.

Compatibility-Update for Windows 2000 were a error message occured about a missing procedure entry point in Advapi32.dll.
And also some certain (mostly older) processors were the program crashed on startup.

Today the new forum is online now with new designs and functions.
Unfortunately all users need to re-register and also the old posts won't be visible anymore. But this doesn't really matter, because anyway the are all related to the old versions and this is obsolete now with new AFS version.

After one and a half years of work it is finally finished, the new and strongly improved version 3.1 of Advanced File Security Basic is released!


All differences since AFS Basic 3.0e :

The development is going very well ahead and is absolutely in time plan. Almost without any unexpected problems or delays.
The compression feature is already finished also like the secure password exchange, where you can easily and securely exchange/transfer passwords with each other.

Now only some smaller improvements will be done, like providing better mobility on USB sticks for example and then the work for publishing will begin, writing help file and so on.

This means the german Basic/Pro version will be released during next month already. Immediately after this, the work for english localization will begin too. So probably maybe at latest in May also the english release will get published.

After one month of hard work the new beta version 1.3.0 of AFS 3.1 Pro is released today.
Major Changes:

• New and improved context menu
• Better reliability, error handling and security
• Finalization of archive and AFS Xpress feature.

For the next version it is planned to finish secure delete feature and to include compression as well.
At the moment there is only a 32Bit version available but the work on x64 version already started, for example the context menu is already finished for x64.

With a long delay due to a project hold, the first english beta version now finally got published
And the work on the final version now is in full progress, so hopefully it will be done in late 1st quarter of this year

The english beta is without Setup, which means without context menu, help system and so on, just plain executable, but should be enough for testing issues for know.
