Due some problems with the context menu of AFS 3 (conflicts with other programs, malfunction under 2000 wihout admin rights), I reworked the context menu DLL to fix the problems. It's required to deinstall the old version of AFS 3 before installing the new one, to ensure the old DLL will be deleted correctly.

The version number of the program won't be incremented, cause only the enclosed dll file has changed.

Due to a problem with the key exentsion feature, I released a small update of version 3.0 today.
I used this update to change some smaller issues and to include the new online help of AFS.

It's done! After 2 years of developing and 3 month beta testing, the new final version AFS 3.0 Basic is finished!
There didn't changed a lot, since last beta 2 version, only some small enhancements were done.

I decided to introduce two versions of AFS. One so called "Basic" version, which will be nearly the same as the current beta version, an will completely remain freeware.
And additionally a "Pro" version will be released, which will cost a small fee. Some brand new exclusiv features will be available in the Pro version.

So the current beta version is like the Basic beta and will be finally released in december.
The Pro version is currently in developing phase and will be released approximately in second quarter of 2006.

The Beta 1 Version is already released, but only in german. Within the Beta 2 Release coming October/November the first english version will be published.

Today I have released a new version of the "old" AFS. AFS 3.0 will not be compatible to 2.3 or older versions, thats why I will maintenance the version 2 further on.

On 30th May I released the first alpha version of the new Advanced File Security 3.0.
The first results and feedbacks were very satisfying. Only a few problems with decrypting folders occured, but nothing critical. And so I'm working now on the alpha 2 release, which includes the new context menu support and stuff like that.

The alpha 3 release will be the first release, which will be available in english, too.

In about one month the first alpha version of Advanced File Security 3.0 will be released.
This version is only a basic test version, to check the stability, security and performance of the new programm. Most of the newly planned features for AFS 3.0 will not be implemented in this early version.

If all basic functions passed the stability and security checks, I will release a first Beta and will go on implementing further features. The alpha version will be only available in german language, but I plan to release a english version with the first beta release.

The new version 2.3c of Advanced File Security is available now. The update was due to a bugfix, see Version-History for further informations.
