A newly designed feature will be added to the 3.1 Pro Version function list...self-extracting exe-files, where you can decrypt files instantly, without needing to install/download AFS before.
Therefore I develop a special version called AFS Xpress, which will be a small-size version of AFS limited to it's basic essential functionality. It'll be about 250KB.
AFS Xpress will be also available for archives.

Today I have done a small update again und published version 3.0e Basic.
Mostly I worked on minor bugs and potential problems, for example I added a available free disk space detection for the destination drive.

Due to a longer working timeout on the AFS 3 project (I worked on another crypt project for german medical practices) the release date for the first fully featured beta version is delayed to 1. Quarter in 2007.
Nevertheless I'm still looking for (pre-)beta testers, so please contact me if you're interested in supporting the development!

However the other project work had also some advantages for the AFS 3 project, because that's why the functionality of AFS 3 increased by several already proberly working features listed below:

• Wildcard-Search of files/folders/paths
• Filter of files types/extensions
• Secure delete of files with various methods (e.g Gutmann, Schneier, VSITR, US DoD)

But the secure deletion will be improved by the possibility to delete not just even encrypted files, than just every user selected file indepent from encryption.

Today I released a updated version of AFS 3.0 Basic. Within the development of version 3.1 I fixed several smaller bugs and potential problems (but nothing critical) but which I want to include in the current basic version as well.

Speaking of version 3.1, unfortunately the development is delayed due to another project I'm working on at the moment. But it's just delayed and not canceled...

The first beta of version 3.1 is done. But there is just one new feature included, encrpytion of archives. But this is the biggies and costliest feature of all.

Development on version 3.1 is going straight ahead and thats why I'm looking now for motivated, ambitious, patiened and dedicated people they want to test the new features through it's paces.
Therefore it would be necessary to register in the forum because all the communication regarding the beta test will be handled via the forum.
Of course, the software which will be provided should strictly used only for testing issues and should not be shared with other peoples.
